The Chester County Intermediate Unit is a regional educational service agency created by the Pennsylvania General Assembly in 1971. It provides special education programs to students identified as having a disability aged 3 to 21 years old and who reside in one of Chester County's 12 public school districts. Services to students are contracted by the school district. Services are provided in school district classes, preschools, intermediate unit programs and intermediate unit operated schools
Subsidiary Programs
Services are provided in the following areas: emotional and behavioral Support, life skills support, early intervention, learning support, multidisabilities support, and speech/hearing and vision.
